Ingredients:
              
 Put through a coarse sieve:
                white sugar 1 1/2 c.
                brown sugar 1 12 c.
                sifted flour 3 c.
                salt 2 t.
                soda 2 t.
                baking powder 1 t.
Cut in:
                shortening 2 c.
                Add:
                rolled oats 6 c.
                Mix well. Store in cool place.
Method:
                Oatmeal Cookies (makes 4 dozen)
                Combine in bowl:
                2 eggs, beaten
                2 t. vanilla
                4 c. oatmeal cookie mix
                Mix well. Drop teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet, flatten 
                with
                fork and bake at 350 about 12 minutes.
                
                Options:
                Add chopped nuts, raisins, coconut, chocolate chips or sunflower 
                seeds.
                Add 1 t. cinnamon to egg mixture.
                Put 2 cookies together with a blend of peanut butter and honey 
                or jelly.
