| We're Travis and Linda, from SW Florida, and have 3 sons - almost 20,
almost 18 and just 10. We started our homeschooling journey 2 years
ago with our then 16yo son, at his request...he chose to go with ICS as
he wanted to get his high school credits out of the way to prepare for
the Culinary Institute of America, in NY. (He's worked as an assistant
chef for 2 1/2 years, and loves it!) Subsequently, our 10yob wanted
to be hs'ed, so we decided at the end of his 3rd grade year (last June)
that from then on we were a homeschooling family! We pretty much started
out unschooling - it's just like our life was before, but we don't have
to stop twice a day to go to a ps!
Travis has his BA in Psychology and works as a behavior therapist for
Eden Florida, a school for autistic children, and is working on his Master's
degree. Linda is a mom, and loves every minute of it - always has,
always will! |
